Political Parties and Party System
Hi everyone!!!! Today I going to talk about political parties and party system. Frist one, political parties are those associations of public interest that lead according to certain principles and ideas with two fundamental objectives: 1) to channel and transmit the interests and demands of the population so that they are considered in government decision-making; and 2) enable the participation of the population in the political process through the election of popular representatives who exercise political power. A party system is a concept in political science concerning the system of government by political parties in a democratic country. The idea is that political parties have basic similarities: they control the government, have a stable base of mass popular support, and create internal mechanisms for controlling funding, information, and nominations.
